Spinocerebellar ataxia (SCA) เป็นโรคทาง พันธุกรรมที่มีการสูญเสียการทรงตัวจากพยาธิสภาพของ สมองน้อย (cerebellar ataxia) ในปัจจุบันถือเป็นโรค ที่พบไม่บ่อยและมีอุบัติการณ์การเกิดโรค 2.7-5.6 ต่อ ประชากรโลก 100,000 ราย นอกจากอาการสูญเสีย การทรงตัว ผู้ป่วยยังมีอาการอื่นๆ ทางระบบประสาท ได้แก่ saccadic abnormalities, ophthalmoplegia, extrapyramidal features เป็นต้น

High intakes of vitamin B6 from food and herb have not been reported to cause adverse effects. Turmeric is a herb that very rich source of pyridoxine. นักศึกษาหญิงไทยโสด อายุ 20 ปี ไม่มีโรคประจำตัว มีอาการเกร็งกระตุกทั่วตัว 1 ชั่วโมง ก่อนมาโรงพยาบาล โดย 3 สัปดาห์ก่อน ขณะกำลังนั่งรถเมล์กลับบ้าน ผู้ป่วย รู้สึกว่ามองเห็นภาพมัวลง มองเห็นไม่ชัดทั้งสองข้าง ร่วมกับมีอาการเห็นภาพเหตุการณ์ที่เคยเกิดขึ้นจริงใน อดีต หลังจากถึงบ้านผู้ป่วยมีอาการคลื่นไส้ อาเจียน 3-4 ครั้ง หลังจากนั้นผู้ป่วยรู้สึกว่าตาทั้งสองข้างมองไม่เห็น จึงให้มารดานำส่งที่โรงพยาบาล

A 28-year-old, right-handed female patient presented when her colleagues noticed that she had been demonstrating episodes of blank staring and chewing movements lasting 2-3 minutes for the past six months. She had the feeling of poor memory and always making an error on her job, resulting in she was condemned by her boss, making she was frustrated and lose of motivation for working. She came to see the psychiatrist and was refer to epileptologist.
