Status epilepticus (SE) หรือภาวะชักต่อเนื่อง เป็น ภาวะฉุกเฉินหนึ่งของโรคระบบประสาท มีอัตราการเสีย ชีวิตค่อนข้างสูง ปัจจัยหลักหนึ่งในหลายปัจจัยที่ส่งผลต่อ การเสียชีวิต คือ การควบคุมอาการชักต่อเนื่องไม่ได้จน เกิดเป็นภาวะ refractory SE (RSE) และ super RSE (SRSE) คือ มีภาวะชักต่อเนื่องนานมากกว่า 1 ชั่วโมง และนานมากกว่า 24 ชั่วโมงตามลำดับ...
