Status epilepticus (SE) is a time-sensitive
emergency condition which is associated with high
short-term mortality. Over the past decades, major
advances in SE have been notably observed. There
are numerous factors which predict outcome in SE
such as age, type of seizure, duration of seizure,
pre-existing comorbidities, and de novo seizure.
