Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a chronic, systemic autoimmune disease primarily affecting synovial joints, typically presenting with symmetric polyarthritis of small peripheral joints such as the metacarpophalangeal and proximal interphalangeal joints. It affects approximately 1% of the adult population and is more prevalent among women.

Phanat Nikhom Hospital is a general hospital that has developed the capacity to treat patients with acute ischemic stroke by administering intravenousthrombolysis(rt-PA)since November2021, under a teleconsultation system with neurologists from Chonburi Hospital. It also serves as a referral nodefor3affiliated communityhospitals.Thisstudy is a retrospective cohort study conducted among patients with acute ischemic stroke who received rt-PA and wereadmitted to Phanat Nikhom Hospital between November2021and April2023.
