Epilepsy is a common neurological disorder
characterized by recurrent seizures that affects
around 4-10 out of every 1,000 people, and it is the
most encountered neurological condition requiring
medical treatment during pregnancy. Pregnancy
mothers are particularly affected by this disorder,
with one in 200 being affected recurrent seizures,
with an annual incidence between 40 and 80 per
100,000 worldwide.
